Breath of Fresh Air: Get To Know Melo Kan, Rapper/Activist

I’d like to introduce California indie- hip hop artist and community activist Melo Kan (MK), who recently released his project “The Unkomfortable Silence.” In addition to rapping Kan is heavily involved in community outreach projects.
As a forerunner of the "New West" hip hop scene, MK illuminates the everyday issues of urban communities and their residents with music. He uses his music as a forum, while hoping to inspire people to become proactive within their own communities.
