In the latest chapter in his series of official, artist-sanctioned remixes, producer/deejay Quickie Mart gives a nod to his New Orleans roots with his remix of "Shake Fa Ya Hood", the 1997 street classic from 7th Ward rapper Ricky B (hear the original here). "Shake" follows similar Quickie Mart remixes of songs byShyvonne and Freddie Gibbs, who also appears on his Haze Diaries mixtape trilogy with NYC rapper Gotham Green (check out Haze Diaries). Ricky just released The Archives, his first new album in over a decade (listen to "Go On Rock Wit It" here).

Houston based production duo Beanz N Kornbread release their first official project entitled "Good Weather Muzik". The album features a collection of songs from artists Pinc Gator, Mordecai,D.K., & Primetime 3000, as well as Beanz N Kornbread themselves.
"Good Weather Muzik" is primarily a creative blend of southern/west coast hip-hop & funk, infused with influences from "The Gap Band" to "Roger Troutman & Zapp". Staying true to their production roots, "Beanz N Kornbread" laced the 16 track album with "feel good" instrumental pieces that showcase musicianship, and versatility over many genres of music.
